Description
A light and fluffy angel food cake made easily in an air fryer.
Ingredients
- 1 cup cake flour
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 12 large egg whites
- 1 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C).
- Sift cake flour and half the sugar together.
- Beat egg whites, cream of tartar, and salt until soft peaks form.
- Gradually add remaining sugar, vanilla, and almond extract.
- Fold in flour mixture gently.
- Pour batter into an ungreased angel food cake pan.
- Place pan in air fryer basket and cook for 25-30 minutes.
- Invert cake to cool completely before serving.
Notes
- Do not grease the pan – angel food cake needs to cling to the sides.
- Use room temperature egg whites for best volume.
- Check doneness with a toothpick before removing.
