A delicious and easy-to-make apple blossom pie using an air fryer for a crispy crust and tender filling.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2/3 cup cold butter, cubed
- 4-5 tbsp ice water
- 3 medium apples, peeled and thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Mix flour and salt in a bowl. Cut in butter until crumbly.
- Gradually add ice water until dough forms. Chill for 30 minutes.
- Toss apples with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
- Roll out dough and cut into circles. Fill with apple mixture.
- Fold edges to form blossoms. Brush with egg wash.
- Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 12-15 minutes until golden.
Notes
- Use firm apples like Granny Smith for best texture.
- Chill dough for easier handling.
- Check pie halfway to prevent over-browning.
