Description
Crispy tofu wings coated in BBQ sauce, cooked in an air fryer for a healthier twist.
Ingredients
- 1 block (14 oz) extra-firm tofu
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Press tofu for 15 minutes to remove excess water.
- Cut tofu into wing-sized pieces.
- Mix cornstarch, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Coat tofu pieces in the cornstarch mixture.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly spray tofu with olive oil.
- Air fry for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Toss tofu in BBQ sauce.
- Air fry for 2 more minutes.
Notes
- Use a tofu press or wrap tofu in paper towels and place a heavy object on top.
- Adjust cooking time based on your air fryer model.
- Serve immediately for best texture.
