Description

A mini Christmas trifle made in an air fryer, perfect for holiday gatherings. Layers of cake, custard, and fruit create a festive dessert.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup sponge cake, cubed
  • 1/2 cup custard
  • 1/2 cup mixed berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries)
  • 1/4 cup whipped cream
  • 1 tbsp sherry or fruit juice (optional)
  • 1 tbsp grated chocolate for garnish


Instructions

  1. Layer the sponge cake cubes at the bottom of mini trifle dishes.
  2. Drizzle with sherry or fruit juice if using.
  3. Add a layer of custard over the cake.
  4. Top with mixed berries.
  5. Repeat the layers until the dish is full.
  6. Finish with a dollop of whipped cream and grated chocolate.
  7. Place in the air fryer at 320°F (160°C) for 5 minutes to warm slightly.
  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use store-bought sponge cake and custard for convenience.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding sugar to the custard if needed.
  • Chill before serving if you prefer a cold trifle.
