Description

Crispy, sweet air fryer cinnamon apple donuts made with fresh apples and warm spices. A healthier alternative to fried donuts.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1/2 cup grated apple
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (for coating)


Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a bowl.
  3. In another bowl, whisk brown sugar, milk, egg, melted butter, grated apple, and vanilla.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Spoon batter into greased donut molds, filling 3/4 full.
  6. Air fry for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Mix granulated sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl.
  8. Brush warm donuts with melted butter and coat with cinnamon sugar.
  9. Serve immediately.

  • Use a firm apple like Granny Smith for best texture.
  • Don’t overmix batter to keep donuts light.
  • Check doneness with a toothpick at 8 minutes.
