Description
Crispy coconut chicken nuggets made in the air fryer for a healthier twist.
Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into nugget-sized pieces
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp milk
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix shredded coconut, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a bowl.
- Whisk egg and milk in another bowl.
- Dip chicken pieces in egg mixture, then coat with coconut mixture.
- Place nuggets in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, lightly spray nuggets with oil before cooking.
- Use unsweetened shredded coconut for best results.
