Description
Make crispy fried pies easily with your air fryer. This recipe gives you golden, flaky crusts with minimal oil.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/3 cup cold butter
- 4-5 tbsp ice water
- 1 cup fruit filling (apple, cherry, or peach)
- 1 tbsp oil (for brushing)
Instructions
- Mix flour and salt in a bowl.
- Cut in cold butter until crumbly.
- Add ice water 1 tbsp at a time until dough forms.
- Roll dough to 1/8-inch thickness.
- Cut circles using a 4-inch cutter.
- Place 1 tbsp filling in each circle.
- Fold dough over and seal edges.
- Brush pies lightly with oil.
- Air fry at 375°F for 10-12 minutes until golden.
Notes
- Chill dough for 30 minutes if too sticky.
- Use fork tines to crimp edges for better sealing.
- Let pies cool slightly before serving.
