Crispy, juicy chicken bites with a sweet and tangy Hawaiian twist, perfect for a quick appetizer or main dish.
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp ginger powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, garlic powder, ginger powder, and black pepper.
- Add chicken pieces to the marinade and let sit for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Drain excess marinade and coat chicken with breadcrumbs.
- Lightly spray or brush chicken with olive oil.
- Place chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
- Serve warm with extra pineapple slices or dipping sauce.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, spray the chicken lightly with oil before air frying.
- If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes before threading the chicken.
