Description
Air Fryer Kheer is a quick and easy version of the traditional Indian rice pudding, made creamy with milk, rice, and aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup basmati rice
- 4 cups whole milk
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
- 1 tbsp chopped nuts (cashews, almonds, pistachios)
- 1 tbsp raisins
- 1 tsp ghee or butter
Instructions
- Rinse the basmati rice and soak it in water for 15 minutes.
- Drain the rice and set it aside.
- Preheat your air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for 5 minutes.
- In an oven-safe dish, combine the rice, milk, and ghee.
- Place the dish in the air fryer and cook for 20 minutes.
- Stir the mixture, then cook for another 20 minutes.
- Add sugar, cardamom powder, nuts, and raisins. Mix well.
- Cook for an additional 10 minutes until the kheer thickens.
- Remove from the air fryer and let it cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Soaking the rice helps it cook faster.
- Adjust sugar to your taste.
- Garnish with extra nuts for crunch.
