Description

Delicious molten chocolate lava cupcakes made easily in an air fryer. Perfect for a quick dessert with a gooey chocolate center.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 4 squares dark chocolate (for the molten center)


Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
  3. Add melted butter, milk, vanilla extract, and egg. Stir until smooth.
  4. Grease four cupcake molds or ramekins.
  5. Fill each mold halfway with batter.
  6. Place a dark chocolate square in the center of each.
  7. Cover with more batter until molds are 3/4 full.
  8. Air fry for 8-10 minutes until edges are firm but center is still soft.
  9. Let cool for 2 minutes, then carefully remove from molds.
  10. Serve warm with powdered sugar or ice cream.

Notes

  • Do not overbake to keep the center molten.
  • Check at 8 minutes to prevent burning.
  • Use high-quality chocolate for the best results.
  • Can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer for 1-2 minutes.
