Description
Delicious molten chocolate lava cupcakes made easily in an air fryer. Perfect for a quick dessert with a gooey chocolate center.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 4 squares dark chocolate (for the molten center)
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
- Add melted butter, milk, vanilla extract, and egg. Stir until smooth.
- Grease four cupcake molds or ramekins.
- Fill each mold halfway with batter.
- Place a dark chocolate square in the center of each.
- Cover with more batter until molds are 3/4 full.
- Air fry for 8-10 minutes until edges are firm but center is still soft.
- Let cool for 2 minutes, then carefully remove from molds.
- Serve warm with powdered sugar or ice cream.
Notes
- Do not overbake to keep the center molten.
- Check at 8 minutes to prevent burning.
- Use high-quality chocolate for the best results.
- Can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days. Reheat in the air fryer for 1-2 minutes.
