Description

A quick and healthy vegetarian burger recipe using portobello mushrooms cooked in an air fryer.


Ingredients

  • 4 large portobello mushrooms, stems removed
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 burger buns
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, avocado, cheese


Instructions

  1. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brush mushrooms with olive oil on both sides.
  3. Sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper on both sides.
  4. Place mushrooms in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  5. Cook for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway.
  6. Assemble burgers with buns and desired toppings.

Notes

  • Clean mushrooms with a damp cloth instead of washing.
  • Check doneness by pressing gently – mushrooms should be tender.
  • For cheeseburgers, add cheese during the last minute of cooking.
