Description
Crispy and golden shrimp spring rolls made in the air fryer for a healthier twist on the classic deep-fried version. Perfect as an appetizer or snack.
Ingredients
- 12 spring roll wrappers
- 200g shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1/2 cup shredded carrots
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 egg, beaten (for sealing)
- 1 tbsp water (for sealing)
Instructions
- Chop the shrimp into small pieces.
- In a bowl, mix shrimp, cabbage, carrots, green onions, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil.
- Lay a spring roll wrapper flat, place 1 tbsp of filling near one corner, and fold the corner over the filling.
- Fold the sides inward and roll tightly. Seal the edge with a mix of beaten egg and water.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly spray or brush the spring rolls with oil.
- Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
- Serve hot with dipping sauce.
Notes
- Use fresh wrappers for best results.
- Do not overfill to prevent breaking.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
- Reheat in the air fryer for 2-3 minutes to regain crispiness.
