A simple and healthy way to cook whole sweet potatoes in the air fryer. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and ready in less time than oven baking.
Ingredients
- 2 medium sweet potatoes
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- Optional toppings: butter, cinnamon, or brown sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Scrub the sweet potatoes clean and pat them dry.
- Poke each potato several times with a fork.
- Rub the potatoes with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Place them in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway, until tender.
- Let cool slightly before slicing and adding toppings.
Notes
- Smaller potatoes cook faster; adjust time as needed.
- Check doneness with a fork—it should slide in easily.
- For crispier skin, increase cooking time by 5 minutes.
