Description
A delicious and easy-to-make tart with a sweet apple and almond frangipane filling, cooked in an air fryer for a crispy crust.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 2 medium apples, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp apricot jam (optional, for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (180°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry and press it into a tart pan or a round baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix almond flour, sugar, egg, butter, vanilla, and cinnamon to make the frangipane.
- Spread the frangipane evenly over the puff pastry.
- Arrange the apple slices on top in a circular pattern.
- Place the tart in the air fryer and cook for 15-18 minutes, until golden brown.
- If desired, warm the apricot jam and brush it over the tart for a glossy finish.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use firm apples like Granny Smith for better texture.
- Check the tart halfway through cooking to avoid burning.
- Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
