Description
A quick and easy berry crisp made in the air fryer using puff pastry for a crispy topping.
Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp turbinado sugar (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix berries, sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice.
- Cut puff pastry into squares or circles to fit your air fryer basket.
- Spoon berry mixture onto half of each pastry piece, leaving a border.
- Fold pastry over the filling and press edges to seal.
- Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with turbinado sugar if desired.
- Air fry for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use frozen berries if fresh ones aren’t available.
- Adjust sugar based on berry sweetness.
- Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
