Description
Crispy, golden churro bites made in an air fryer for a quick and easy comfort food treat.
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup sugar (for coating)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon (for coating)
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, salt, and vegetable oil. Bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in flour and vanilla extract until a dough forms.
- Transfer dough to a piping bag with a star tip.
- Pipe 2-inch strips onto parchment paper, then cut into bite-sized pieces.
- Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C). Lightly spray the basket with cooking spray.
- Place churro bites in the air fryer in a single layer. Cook for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Toss warm churro bites in the mixture to coat.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Use a sturdy piping bag to avoid bursts.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
