Description
Flaky scones with a citrusy orange flavor and tart cranberries, made easy in your air fryer.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup cold unsalted butter, cubed
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries
- 1 tbsp orange zest
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in cranberries and orange zest.
- Whisk cream, egg, and vanilla in another bowl.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and mix until dough forms.
- Shape dough into a circle and cut into 8 wedges.
- Place wedges in air fryer basket, leaving space between them.
- Cook for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use cold butter for flaky texture.
- Don’t overmix the dough.
- Check scones halfway through cooking.
