Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef (80/20 lean-to-fat ratio)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 4 hamburger buns
- 4 slices cheese (cheddar or American)
- Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup, mustard
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 5 minutes
- Mix ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder
- Divide meat into 4 equal portions and form patties
- Place patties in air fryer basket without overlapping
- Cook for 6 minutes, then flip
- Cook for another 4 minutes
- Add cheese slices and cook for 1 more minute
- Toast buns in air fryer for 1-2 minutes if desired
- Assemble burgers with your favorite toppings
Notes
- Don’t press patties too thin – they’ll shrink while cooking
- For well-done burgers, add 1-2 minutes cooking time
- Let patties rest 2 minutes before serving
- Use a meat thermometer for perfect doneness (160°F for well-done)
