Description
Crispy air fryer churro bites are a quick and easy dessert. They have a golden exterior and a soft, cinnamon-sugar-coated interior.
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup sugar (for coating)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon (for coating)
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, salt, and vegetable oil. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and add flour, stirring until a dough forms.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Mix in egg and vanilla extract.
- Transfer dough to a piping bag with a star tip.
- Pipe 2-inch strips onto parchment paper.
- Spray churro bites with cooking spray and air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Roll warm churro bites in the mixture.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- Use a sturdy piping bag to prevent bursting.
- For extra crispiness, spray churros lightly before air frying.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
