Description

A quick and easy chicken schnitzel recipe made in the air fryer for a crispy, golden finish without deep frying.


Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for spraying)


Instructions

  1. Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness of about 1/2 inch.
  2. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with paprika and garlic powder.
  4. Coat each chicken breast in flour, then dip in egg, and finally press into the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Lightly spray the chicken with olive oil and place in the air fryer basket.
  7. Cook for 10 minutes, flip, spray again, and cook for another 8-10 minutes until golden and cooked through.

Notes

  • Use panko breadcrumbs for extra crispiness.
  • Check internal temperature with a meat thermometer (165°F/74°C).
  • Let the schnitzel rest for 2-3 minutes before serving.
