Description
Crispy, cinnamon-sugar coated churro bites made in the air fryer for a healthier twist on the classic treat.
Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup water
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon (for coating)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, bring water, butter, sugar, and salt to a boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in flour until a dough forms.
- Let cool slightly, then mix in vanilla and egg until smooth.
- Transfer dough to a piping bag with a star tip.
- Pipe 2-inch strips onto parchment paper, then cut into bite-sized pieces.
- Air fry for 8-10 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Toss warm churro bites in cinnamon-sugar mixture.
